ust 15 minutes from Oaxaca's downtown, surrounded by beautiful landscape, is Casa Bellavista, where
you can enjoy the peace and quiet that you have been looking for.
Taken from inside the second-floor bedroom
Oaxaca city has a unique temperate climate and is located in the southeastern territory of Mexico.
Oaxaca is a beautiful historic city: most of the lovely old buildings in the centre of the city are
made from a variety of green limestone known as "cantera verde". Because of this, Oaxaca is also known as
"The Green Antequera".
Among the most famous attractions of Oaxaca are the archeological ruins of ancient Mixtec and
Zapotec civilizations.
As well, there are the beautiful handcrafts of Oaxaca, such as the black earth pottery (barro negro), whimsical
painted wooden carvings (alebrijes), woven carpets (tapetes), and more.
You can delight in the exquisite Oaxacan gastronomy, worthy of kings; and sample "mezcal
de gusanito" to please your palate, because Oaxaca is the cradle of fine Mezcal in Mexico.
Visitors want to come back time and time again.

Dining room and living room at Casa Bellavista
Our bed & breakfast is situated in the quiet Mexican hillside country overlooking Oaxaca city. It is an ideal area
for nature-loving people who like to be close to long walks, hikes, mountain biking or camping, but still close to town.
The house offers full sun, several open terraces, and a sweeping view of the Oaxacan valley.
Our guest house offers two spacious rooms, one on the ground floor and one on the top floor.
The upper room features a private bathroom, walk-in closet, two large balconies, two beds (one double and one single),
and an outdoor hammock for Mexican siestas.
Our bedrooms are ideal for 2 or 3 people who travel together.
Casa Bellavista B & B is only about 15 minutes from the historic downtown. It is a five minute walk to the rustic Urbanos
bus stop, with a direct route to Oaxaca's downtown: galleries, parks, the cathedral and churches, museums and markets.
What makes our accommodation so special is that has the taste of a little town, in spite of being in Oaxaca City,
and so close to downtown. In the balconies you will be enchanted watching birds that sometimes even nest in the roof.
In the nights, you can enjoy the view of the city with the sky so full of stars, seeming to be so close to you.
When the moon appears this place becomes magical.
